Terms of use

The Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) operates the website of the ITHQ Culinary Camp (hereinafter called the “Site”), whose address is 3535 Saint-Denis Street, Montreal, Quebec, Canada H2X 3P1.

By browsing or ordering products or services from the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of these terms and conditions. If you do not want to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not use the Site or order products or services through this Site.

These conditions may change at any time, and these changes will automatically come into effect.

Website location
The ITHQ operates the Site from its offices in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is forbidden to access the Site from territories where the legislation prescribes that the content or use of the Site is illegal. Those choosing to use the Site must do so of their own initiative, and it is their responsibility to conform to all applicable local laws.

Site changes
The ITHQ may change or delete any aspect, content or functionality of the Site or shut the Site down at any time without notice or liability. The ITHQ may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict your access to all or part of the Site without notice or liability.

Limitation of liability
The ITHQ is not liable for damages, including direct and indirect compensatory damages, or any other damage of any nature whatsoever that may be caused to the users or to any other moral or physical person, by any technical or technological equipment whatsoever on the Site or by any human or technical error that may occur at any time, including technical problems or malfunctions of the electronic system or communication system, online computer systems, servers, computer equipment, software, data transmission or any other technical or traffic problem on the Site or other.

Registration conditions
The minimum required age for the ITHQ Culinary Camp is 10 years and the maximum age is 15 years.

Applicable law
These terms of use are governed by the applicable laws in the province of Quebec. You hereby acknowledge that any dispute arising from the use of the Site or services or related services will be under the jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montreal in the province of Quebec.

All content (texts, illustrations and images) reproduced on the Site are protected by copyright and intellectual property rights throughout the whole world.

Unless otherwise specified in a specific section of the Site, no component of the Site may be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, translated, downloaded, displayed or transmitted in any way without prior written permission from the ITHQ. You are permitted to display or download Site elements for non-commercial purposes only and provided that no change is made and that you maintain all intellectual property notices that they contain. Any unauthorized use of such content may expose you to civil liability or criminal prosecution.

The names, words, titles, phrases, logos, drawings, graphics, icons and trademarks used or displayed on the Site may constitute trademarks that may or may not be registered by the ITHQ or third parties. Nothing in the Site may be interpreted in such a way as to directly or indirectly allow the use of a trademark reproduced on the Site without the prior written permission of the owner of this trademark.

The prices of our products are in Canadian dollars. All orders, regardless of their origin, are payable in Canadian dollars. The ITHQ reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Services are always invoiced based on the rates in force at the time of the transaction.

Your purchases must be made by credit card: MasterCard or Visa. Fees must be paid as per the procedure described in the registration process. The customer agrees to cover the total cost and related charges for the service purchased. The customer is solely responsible for the effective payment of the service purchased. The customer is solely responsible for the payment by credit card for the offered service. The ITHQ is not liable for payment problems relating to the operations of the e-commerce service.

Cancellation and refund policy and conditions
To better plan our summer programs, we must adhere to a detailed cancellation policy:

  • Any cancellation made before June 1 will be refunded in full.
  • No refunds will be given after June 1 for any cancellations or withdrawals (including for full or partial absences).
  • After June 1, refunds will be issued for medical reasons only. A written request must be sent to camp@ithq.qc.ca accompanied with a scanned medical certificate. A cancellation fee of 15% will then be applied.
  • The ITHQ reserves the right to cancel or change any activity due to a lack of participants or for any other reason beyond its control. A full refund without penalty will be applied to cancelled activities on a prorated basis.
